Rules and Tricks: When using Ditto's transform ability, Ditto essentially becomes that Pokémon (except for its Master Points). Transforming into another Pokémon that has already depleted its charges does not matter, you will always transform into a 'fresh' copy without used charges.
Trivia: Originally, Ditto also copied the Master Points of the targeted Pokémon, making copying Snorlax a more viable choice.
